Peters dva medical center, bronx, NY. The work involves a complete renovation of approximately 9,000 square feet of the existing emergency department on the 1ST floor F wing of building 100, including phased construction to minimize disruption, construction of barriers for infection control and life safety, selective demolition, general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection and detection, HVAC, telecommunications, security systems, millwork/casework, and interior finishes. The project includes demolition and replacement of the emergency room outer canopy with new lighting and signage, replacement of the sidewalk and curb outside the er, and construction of an anteroom and smoke barrier wall prior to construction. All work is performed in accordance with infection control and life safety measures, and is phased to allow continued operation of the facility during construction.
